We try to offer as many different courses as possible as there is so many different requirements depending on driving experince or preferences.
The main 2 types are shared tuition and 1-2-1 tuition. With shared tuition we have combined structured methods used by both the police and armed forces together with our extensive knowledge of driving tuition to create our unique courses. The courses do not only speed up the process of learning to drive, they also take the maximum advantage of peoples natural learning skills and abilities. It has been concluded that:- |

| |
The best way to absorb new information is in short snatches or 30 or 60 minutes with an equal rest after each. |
A great deal is learned by watching others being taught |
New Skills decline if they are not re-inforced with practice |

In our shared courses, two pupils and an instructor work as a team, with the pupils taking time to drive (we never team more that 2 pupils to drive unlike other schools who may have 3 or 4 pupils in a car). The pupils learn to drive in optimum conditions and whilst they are resting they are still learning a great deal by watching their co-pupil being taught.
When participating on shared tuition, pupils can expect to be driving 50% of the time behind the wheel. If on a rare occasion we find it not possible to team you with another pupil you will be given additional rests and demonstrations by your instructor if required.
One to One tuition can be provided on all courses if you prefer. This means that you will be alone with an instructor and receive 100% of the course time behind the wheel.
A driving assessment may be given towards the end of your course to access your driving ability. We consider the driving assessment to be benificial to determine how you can drive unaided and give you an idea what is required for your driving test. Assessments are considered as tuition time.
The practical test and instructor debrief time is considered to be 1 hour of tuition time. If the test is not taken then you will receive this time as tuition. |
