The reason why we have so many different courses is because every person requires a different amount of tuition to be ready for their test. There is also personal preference, such as 1-2-1 tuition. The course that you choose will ultimately decide whether you are entered for your test and the result of the test itself - the hardest part is choosing the correct course that suits you. Please not that the guides below are a general guideline and we cannot be held responsible for the course that you choose.

The first choice is shared or 1-2-1 tuition. Each has its own advantage and disadvantage. With shared tuition you spend 50% time behind the wheel, thus giving more breaks from driving throughout the day. You learn a great deal by watching a co-pupil, as you can concentrate more on the techniques for passing your test rather than concentrating on traffic around you. The obvious advantage of 1-2-1 tuition is that you spend all the time behind the wheel, but on all courses you will have at least 1 day driving for 6 or 7 hours within one day, which can prove very tiring.

Below follows a list of the courses and what we would expect you to be able to do before your tuition commences:-

SHARED - This is the smallest course we offer, 5 hours driving - 5 hours watching. You should either be at test standard already or have taken a test recently.

1-2-1 - Very similar to shared. With this course you need to have covered all test manouvres and be 10 hours away from being at test standard and bearing in mind you need to get use to a new vehice.

SHARED - This for pupils who can generally drive and attempted most manouvres or have a test within the last six months or so. We would expect that you can drive in traffic and have good experience at reverse exercises.

1-2-1 - An upgrade from the shared tuition if more time is needed to be practising the manouvres. The 5 day shared may be a different option as its almost the same amount of hours behind the wheel and you get to spend a further 15 hours watching a co-pupil, the cost between the courses are around the same ( 4 days do not include test or travel costs)

SHARED - For shared tuition you should have completed the basics, such as steering, braking and simple driving. The less tuition time that is needed for these tasks the better as more time needs to be spend on test manouvres.

1-2-1 - For the very confident beginners or pupils who fell they would benifit from the extra time behind the wheel. For nervous begginners we would reccommend the 7 day course (1-2-1).

SHARED - An upgrade from the 5 day. The basics should have been attempted for this course, but not necessarily done well.

1-2-1 - The biggest course we do and is suitable for complete beginners. The is the biggest course we offer as standard but we can do longer if you feel you would benifit. Please contact us with your requests.

KEY POINTS TO NOTE:-

All courses have a practical test booked for the final day of the course - except those whom havent passed a theory prior to arrival

If you feel that you need a 1-2-1 course then look at the next higher course on a shared basis as they are normall better value for money, such as 2 day 1-2-1 courses are £295.00, for 10 hours behind the wheel, yet the four day shared is 9 hours behind the wheel and 9 hours watching plus you get the benifit of having the pass agreement if you fail. The difference in price between the 2 day 1-2-1 and the 4 day shared is £40.00.

The 2 days course is the only course not to have the pass agreement

5 and 7 day courses include a the cost practical test and travelling expenses (up to £30.00 and mainland only)

Courses can be run over most dates provided that they would be finsihed on a testing day (e.g. not Sundays or Bank Holidays)

Weekend courses can be arranged at a fee of £30.00 per weekend
