Terms and Conditions
If booking online we strongly recommend you check availability before paying your deposit.
Learndrive have been running courses for over 30 years. We genuinely hope, like the vast majority of our customers, that you enjoy your course with us and we ask that you read the terms and conditions so that you understand how the courses work. Any questions please contact us.
You must bring a valid UK driving licence and your eyesight must reach the required legal standard. Failure to meet these requirements will result in your course not proceeding. It is really important that you get your eyesight checked before you attend your course.
Make us aware before booking of any health issues either mental or physical, which may affect your ability to perform as expected on an intensive driving course.
In order to book a driving course with practical test you must have already passed your theory test. If your theory has not been passed or expires before the start of your course then we will place your booking on hold. For bookings placed on hold, you will be charged a £30 admin fee to reactivate it. For courses on hold or booked more than 6 months in advance then we reserve the right to review the price of the course.
Learndrive Ltd acts as an agency for your self employed driving instructor. The vast majority of our instructors have worked with us for many years and are very experienced. We only work with instructors that we consider to be responsible, reliable and of a very high standard, thus helping us maintain our excellent reputation. The contract for service (tuition) is between yourself and your appointed learndrive instructor. Learndrive LTD driving school is a separate trading entity which has been authorized to act as a booking agent. Learndrive LTD, are at no time liable for the instructors actions and cannot be held liable for actions of third parties or circumstances beyond its control. Please note that many major driving schools in the UK (e.g. BSM and the AA) operate in this way with self-employed instructors.
The total course hours include any breaks that the driving instructor feel is necessary, travel to and from test centre and the test and debrief time. If a test is not required then this time will be given as tuition time.
Practical Driving Test
A practical driving test will be booked for the final day of the course. In order to take the driving test you must be able to show skill and judgement and drive safely in different road and traffic conditions, as well as show that you know The Highway Code. As progress can vary between learners we cannot guarantee that the pupil will reach a high enough standard in order to take the practical test. If the pupil does not reach a standard considered safe by the instructor then the instructor will not allow the pupil to take the tuition vehicle on Driving Test. The instructor’s decision must be accepted as final. This is in the interest of the pupil, examiner and other road users and is as a precautionary road safety measure. It is not our policy, nor that of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to allow a pupil to take the Driving Test for the “experience”. Test fee is non refundable. Should you need any further clarification on this please do not hesitate to contact us. The school cannot be held responsible for cancellation of test due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Your test will be booked at any of the centres in the North West area. Due to driving test availability and any circumstances beyond our control it may be necessary for us to adjust your details (centre or time of test) in order to fit in with other arrangements and our booking process. Your test will be arranged for end of course. It is your responsibility to bring your valid UK provisional licence for test.
With your permission your photo may be taken after taking test, we may use this for Facebook and other promotional use, should you not wish us to do so please advise us accordingly.
Unfortunately it is now necessary for us to charge more for tuition in the automatic car than the manual car. Automatic tuition will incur an additional fee of £5 per hour. We usually have a much longer waiting time for tuition in the automatic compared with the manual car, so please confirm dates before paying a deposit. Tuition fees in automatic need to be paid in full a week before arrival date.
Customer payment scheme
When making a booking a minimum deposit of £142.00 is required paid direct to Learndrive LTD. Deposits are non-refundable, non transferable and last for 6 months. After deposit has been paid then the following payments should be paid direct to the instructor on or before arrival. This money is not normally passed onto the instructor until the first day of your course, please note that due to accounting reasons we will only hold this money in the account for 6 months after this time it will be non refundable.

Intensive courses require a lot of planning and Driving instructors are self-employed, your deposit secures your course dates and the instructor has committed this time to you.
If you have commenced an intensive course and you choose to not to complete your course then any unused tuition time from your course is non-refundable & non-transferable, however this may be carried over at the discretion of your driving instructor.
Please also note that cancelled, non completed courses and no shows may result in the test being cancelled.
Conduct and data protection
